REVIEW: CONJUNCTION (Chart H) a conjunction is a word used to CONNECT words,
phrases, and clauses together. We played a little game of CONJUNCTION SCRAMBLE. We connected words, phrases, and clauses together.
It was fun!
NOW IT IS TIME TO ADD A CX WITH A CD = CD-CX (I introduced this last
Structure) Sad- there isnt anything else to really teach in EEL.
NEW GRAMMAR: VERBALS. We learned that verbs
wear different hats, these verbs function as another part of speech are called
verbals. There are three main kinds of verbals.
Infinitives

Participle

to + a verb used as a noun, adjective, or adverb.
Noun- SPIDO
Modifier-Adj or Adv
Diagrammed up on stilts with a diagonal line attached to a
horizontal line. (similar to Pr Phrases)

Gerunds are ONLY used as a noun
Always end in -ING

We fleshed out a few verbals in a sentence.
MATH
We played ULTIMATE Tic Tac Toe. I think it was a HUGE hit!
ULTIMATELY, we will play this game with quarters because we are in the LAST QUARTER, but we need to practice with nickels, dimes, and then quarters.
