REVIEW: Adjectives
We reviewed all the
elements of Adjectives.
Adjective – An adjective modifies a noun or pronoun by
describing, qualifying or limiting.
When working on the Quid
et Quo, students have to make distinctions between descriptive, possessive, and
limiting adjectives. With a descriptive adjective, students have to choose
whether the word is positive, comparative, or superlative. Refer to Chart L for
more information.
Predicate
Adjective- is an adjective that follows a linking verb and
modifies (i.e., refers back to) the subject of the linking verb and describes
the subject.
OCA- object complement adjective describes the
DIRECT OBJECT.
VERBAL- Participle – A participle is a verb form used as an adjective and most often
ends in –ed, -en, t, or –ing.
Article
Adjective- One of the three articles that cannot be
translated into Latin. Articles are used before nouns and are a type of
adjective. The definite article (the) is used before a
noun to indicate that the identity of the noun is known to the reader.
Possessive Pronoun
Adjective-is a modifier:Show possession and functions as adjective
We took some time to describe our friends using adjectives, We then UN-DIAGRAMMED a few sentences using adjectival modifiers. WTG TEAMS!!

DIMES. When the student finished, they enjoyed a game of boardslam. Students, next week we will work with QUARTERS! I will also have a few other games to engage in once the students finish.
