Week 18 - Happy Valentines Day

WEEK 18

Words of Encouragement
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
WOW! This was the last day of the 3rd quarter! Can you believe we start our fourth quarter next week? DO NOT GIVE UP! We have come so far!

Latin phrase of the Day- Deus amor est
Because Valentines Day is on Wednesday, I decided
to go with a Valentines theme. πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’œ

EEL

REVIEW:
The students arrived promptly and received a sweet start. On their boards, they had to write out the three elements that make up the COMBO of 3. PURPOSE, PATTERN, AND PURPOSE. They did great with this. We talked them through. I really think the kiddos are getting this!

DIALECTIC:
We spent a good amount of time getting DIALECTIC with sentences. It was great to see the chart all filled out. I am so proud of these kiddos. I am also SUPER grateful for all the help from the moms.

MATH
We enjoyed ourselves with the I <3 Candy game. The kiddos did great with the sweet challenge.

We then ended up with mental math strings. I just love the kiddos coming up to lead the class in these drills.

IEW

REVIEW: We took time to listen to Joshua and McKenna’s paper.  WTG you two! The kiddos listened well and lifted their heart sticks when they heard their particular dress up.

We looked back at the previous units, then we dove into Unit 7 using the Freedom of Religion passage. We revisited the concept of INTRO & CONCLUSION. Here is our work, just in case someone needs it this week.
