You will benefit by becoming familiar with the lessons of both EEL and IEW by reading these posts below in the left column. I will post this information each after our CC day. You will also be encouraged and equipped by having the links in the right column always accessible. These links include calendar items, schedules, and resources. Take heart! YOU CAN DO THIS!

WRITING THE PAPER

Writing the paper
(If you feel your student isn't ready to do this, he can dictate to you to write out OR he can do one good sentence)
--> Underline the dress ups then put their abbreviations in the right hand margin. You only need to use one of each.

--> Type or neatly handwrite the final draft. (Remember that you can do this for your student.) Please double space. Your student's name and the date goes at the top right corner of the paper.

--> Underline the title.

-->Praise your student. Encourage him to take pride in his work and to always strive to do the best job possible.

--> Mom edits kindly:
1. Correct the spelling.
2. Make sure the dress-ups are used and labeled correctly.

3. Hands off the content, hands on the structure.
4. TAKE NOTE of the Proofreading Marks on page 92 of the Student Resource Notebook. (Below is a screenshot)
5. BE CONSISTENT- what you expect up front before the paper is written should be what you check/grade/assess.
